Attica Rage return to our roots to headline a charity fundraising all-day event at Harley’s Bar, Nile Court, Ayr on Saturday 7 April. The event is being organised by Breast Way Round – a group of female bikers who raise funds for MacMillan Cancer Support and last year collected and raised over £50K!
Events planned for the Breast Way Round Rockfest Ayr event include live music; a barbecue in the beer garden (burgers for a donation) and a mini-bike show in Nile Court with all kinds of motorcycles on display. For a donation to MacMillan Cancer Support, you can have your photo taken posing on or next to a motorcycle and the Breast Way Round ladies will be collecting donations throughout Ayr High Street during the day – look our for them in their pink high-vis vests! Raffle tickets will be on sale throughout the day with prizes handed out later in the day. The event is family and kid-friendly during the daytime with face painting, balloons, competitions and temporary tattoos!
Live music will kick off at 12noon in Harley’s Bar with Attica Rage taking the stage around 9pm. Bands include Six Mile Wide, Pali Gap – Jimi Hendrix tribute, Duffy’s Gypsy Band, Stone Pony, Milestone, The Sneaks, Dead Barklay and more to be confirmed.
For Attica Rage, this is a trip down memory lane and a return to their roots. “Being involved with the Breast Way Round team and helping them raise funds for MacMillan Cancer Support is a very important cause that is close to all our hearts, so we’re pleased to be a part of the event”, comments singer Jonny Parr. “But the funny thing for me and my brother Richie is that this pub is where we started out many years ago when it was originally Jonesy’s. That’s going back a few years now. In fact, I played my first gig there when I was only 15! I looked 18 though and I’m well over the age limit now!”
